What data OwnTime stores
OwnTime stores the information you create while using it: your priorities (their names, colours, and daily budgets) and your tracked sessions (when you started and stopped time on a priority). This information is recorded as a local event log on your device.
Where your data lives
Your Apple Watch is the source of truth and holds the primary copy of this data. Your iPhone keeps a local mirror so the companion app and its Live Activity can show the same information. The two copies are synchronised directly between your own paired devices using Apple's WatchConnectivity, on-device and device-to-device.
We do not operate a server. Your data is never uploaded to us or to any third party, is never stored in the cloud by OwnTime, and is never sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Data we collect about you
None. OwnTime contains no analytics, no tracking, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party software development kits. We do not collect usage statistics, your location, your contacts, or any personal information.
Tracking
OwnTime does not track you across apps or websites operated by other companies, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA).
System data
If you choose to use OwnTime's budget alarms and Live Activities, the app uses Apple's on-device frameworks (AlarmKit, ActivityKit, and notifications) to show them. This happens entirely on your device and does not send your data to us.
Standard diagnostics that you may have enabled in your iOS or watchOS Settings are handled by Apple, not by OwnTime, and are subject to Apple's privacy policy.
Deleting your data
Because all data lives on your devices, deleting the OwnTime app from your Apple Watch and iPhone removes it.
Children
OwnTime does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and revise the date above.
